about me
I’m a classically trained singer with a passion for musical theatre. Some of my favorite roles I’ve played are Mary Poppins in Mary Poppins, Jo in Little Women, and Millie in Thoroughly Modern Millie. My most memorable concert solos include performing in the Guangzhou Outdoor Arts Festival in Guangzhou, China; performing the National Anthem at the United States Embassy in North Macedonia; and singing with the Hawaii Symphony Orchestra in La’ie, Hawaii.
I received a Master’s in Arts Management and a Master’s Certificate in International Arts Management from American University in Washington, D.C. I studied under the tutelage of Michael Belnap at Brigham Young University-Hawaii where I received a Bachelor’s in Vocal Performance with a minor in Chinese studies.
When I’m not teaching or singing, you might find me hiking Colorado 14ers, baking killer cinnamon rolls, or traveling the world with my family. I currently live in the DC area and I’m happy working with students in time zones across the globe.

testimonials
Kaylee has an amazing voice and stage presence and an uncanny resemblance to Julie Andrews:) My girls (ages 11 and 13) began acting and voice lessons with Kaylee and I was able to see improvements in their acting and singing almost immediately. She worked with them on voice projection and inflection, body language, and auditioning, among other things. She was always prepared with age appropriate material for voice lessons. She would bring music she thought that my girls would enjoy as well as listen to their suggestions. She also did lots of warm-ups, scales, etc. with them. They worked on breathing, posture, and diction. The girls always looked forward to their lessons with Kaylee because they could feel her genuine concern for them. She is kind and competent. I would whole-heartedly recommend her to anyone looking to work with her. She is an extraordinary woman in addition to her wealth of musical talent.

I loved working with Kaylee! First of all, she is not only an amazing teacher, but a very talented singer herself. She is very knowledgeable about how the voice works and how it’s connected to the rest of the body. She is great at pinpointing specific areas to pay attention to. She is also so kind and helped me feel more comfortable singing in front of other people. My voice improved by singing with her!

I’ve been studying with Kaylee for several years now and it has been one of the best investments I’ve ever made in myself. Kaylee has helped me increase my vocal range, expand the types of music I feel comfortable singing (everything from rock to classical to Broadway), and find and develop my own voice. I used to try and mimic other singers, but Kaylee was able to teach me foundational techniques (breathing, phrasing, singing with vibrato, etc.) which gave me the confidence to just be myself when I sing. She is always able to quickly identify one or two things I’m struggling with and then give me specific exercises to address those issues. Kaylee’s lessons are fun, and she always challenges me to get out of my comfort zone when I sing. I recommend her to anyone at any singing level.
